How to make an AI music video
Check your idea before committing to more generated footage.
- 01
Choose a song segment
Start with a written idea or optionally upload your own song. Free accounts can select a 10-second excerpt; paid accounts can select 10, 20 or 30 seconds. Without audio, the result is a silent visual montage.
- 02
Plan the visual story
Describe the setting, subject and mood. Check the budget before selecting Create my MV: it starts automatic planning and generation without a separate storyboard approval pause. Try cinematic, anime or abstract visual directions.
- 03
Generate your first 10 seconds
Create one moving scene with your original music. Signed-in free accounts can generate a 10-second MV when they have remaining allowance. Free results have a watermark.
- 04
Review and refine your clip
Paid accounts support 10, 20 or 30 seconds. The automatic workflow generates and approves visual references, then creates one, two or three ten-second shots and assembles them. References and footage consume credits as generation starts. Your balance determines how many shots can be generated. Completed work is reused while the song segment, reference image and creative plan stay the same; assembly has no additional generation charge.
Turn your own song into a visual story
Upload your track, describe its visual world, and check the budget before submitting. Planning and generation then proceed automatically as the current quote and balance allow. Create a 10-second excerpt to check the look.
A music video, an audio-reactive visualizer, and a singing performance need different capabilities. Vismuse combines planned visual scenes with your uploaded song. This beta does not analyze beats or lyrics, or generate precise singing lip-sync. Use an editor when exact cuts, lyric captions, or final audio mastering matter.

A finished song and a visual idea
Use Music Video Studio to plan shots, generate footage, and assemble it with your selected song. Image references can guide the look. Review the budget before submission.
Follow the song-to-MV guideA character image and a provided performance clip
Use the separate reference-video workflow to upload your character image and choose a provided performance clip. It does not offer arbitrary reference-video uploads. Compare our real character image, reference clip, and output before trying it. This example is not a full-song Studio result.

Check specifically for audio analysis, lyric captions, or lip-sync support. This Vismuse beta does not provide those features; finish precise timing and captions in an editor.
One clear visual direction
Make a short song teaser feel connected
- Keep a shared palette. Describe the same colors, setting and recurring visual motif throughout the storyboard.
- Choose one central action. A walk through a neon city, floating ink shapes or a quiet landscape can carry a ten-second scene.
- Plan for your screen. Use 9:16 for vertical previews or 16:9 for a landscape music video.
Music video maker FAQ
How much music video can I generate for free?
Free accounts can create watermarked 10-second projects if they have remaining allowance. One free video trial is shared with AI Video. New accounts receive 50 signup credits; the trial uses those credits for one 10-second video. Further generation requires a subscription or credit pack. Confirmed failed generations restore their reserved allowance and charged credits.
Can I upload my own song?
Yes. Choose a browser-supported audio file up to 50 MB and select a segment. The finished clip uses that song segment, converted to mono audio for this beta. Use music you have permission to use.
Does the AI automatically match beats or singing?
This beta plans atmospheric visuals from your written brief. It does not analyze the song's beats or lyrics, and does not generate precise singing lip-sync. Describe the visual mood and action you want.
What is the maximum music video length?
Free accounts support a maximum of 10 seconds. Paid accounts can choose 10, 20 or 30 seconds. Upload a longer song and select an excerpt that fits the chosen duration.
What does paid continuation cost?
Check Details in the budget panel before submitting. The estimate includes reference images and video; reference counts can change after planning. Submission starts automatic reference and video generation without another approval at each stage, consuming credits as those stages start. Paid accounts can choose 10, 20 or 30 seconds; your balance must cover the generation quote. Eligible free accounts use their signup credits for one video, directly from the brief and uploaded images, without extra generated-image fees. Assembly uses no additional generation credits.
Can I make a music video without editing skills?
You can start with your song and a written visual idea without arranging clips on a timeline. Vismuse plans, generates and assembles footage automatically as the quote and balance allow. You still need to review the result; exact beat cuts, captions and final audio mastering may need an editor.
Can I use a character photo and an uploaded reference video?
Music Video Studio accepts a song and image references, not an uploaded motion-reference video. The separate Burning Bridges workflow lets you upload a character image and select a provided reference clip; it does not offer arbitrary video uploads. The reference-video guide shows a real short paired-input case, not a full song-upload result.
How can I keep the same character across shots?
Use consistent image references and repeat the character's face, hair, clothing and visual direction in the brief. Shared references guide paid-project shots, but cannot guarantee perfect character identity. Review every shot and account for retries in your budget.
Can I make a full-length music video?
Free accounts support 10 seconds per MV; paid accounts can choose 10, 20 or 30 seconds. You can upload a song up to 10 minutes and choose an excerpt. Full Song and output longer than 30 seconds are unavailable.
